The Specialist Prosecutor’s Office has completed the submission of evidence in the case against former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi, along with Bashkim Smakaj, Isni Kilaj, Fadil Fazliu, and Hajredin Kuçi, concerning charges related to the administration of justice.
The presiding judge has set 23 March 2026 as the deadline for defense motions. Preliminary hearings and the presentation of initial testimonies have been ongoing since 27 February 2026.
All defendants have pleaded not guilty. The indictment includes charges of obstruction of officials and failure to comply with court orders, reflecting ongoing scrutiny of the management of justice within Kosovo’s institutions.
