The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, participated in the “Southeast Europe–Ukraine” Summit held in Odesa, where she reaffirmed that Albania stands firmly by Ukraine for as long as necessary.

Spiropali stated that it is impossible to remain indifferent to the reality unfolding before our eyes.

“Odesa is a symbol of courage and resilience. This summit is a point of unity — a collective reaffirmation of our shared values: peace, sovereignty, and regional stability,” she said.

She expressed unwavering solidarity with Ukraine in what she described as its just and heroic struggle to protect its independence, democracy, and people.

“As the representative of a small but resilient nation — a nation that knows the cost of freedom and the value of peace — I am here today to reaffirm Albania’s full support for Ukraine. We stand with you because we deeply believe in the principles that unite us — principles now under attack by Russia’s unprovoked and brutal aggression.”

Spiropali emphasized that this war, now in its third year, has shaken the foundations of the international order, casting a dark shadow across Europe.

“It is not only the future of a sovereign state at stake, but the integrity of the entire rules-based international system,” she stressed.

Furthermore, she underlined that Russia’s aggression is more than a violation of Ukraine’s territorial integrity — it is a direct challenge to democracy itself.
