During her stay in Brussels, as part of the NATO Parliamentary Summit, Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Elisa Spiropali met with Andreas Schieder, the European Parliament’s Rapporteur for Albania.
Mrs. Spiropali thanked Rapporteur Schieder for his support and recognition of Albania’s achievements on its path toward membership in the European Union, which were reflected in the recent Report of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and the latest meeting of the Stabilization and Association Committee.
She also emphasized the Parliament’s contribution to accelerating the accession process, ensuring parliamentary consensus, democratic legitimacy, and the inclusive nature of Albania’s integration into its “natural European family.”
