Elisa Spiropali, Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, shared a post from the deck of the USS Mount Whitney, the first warship to anchor at Porto Romano.
Spiropali described the visit as a symbol of the unbreakable alliance between Albania and the United States.
“On board the Mount Whitney, the first warship to anchor at Porto Romano, with Captain Colin Price leading the crew, this stop symbolizes the unbreakable Albania-US alliance, serving as a key factor for regional and broader security and stability,” she wrote.
The USS Mount Whitney, part of the US Navy fleet, docked at Porto Romano yesterday. The US Embassy in Albania hailed the visit as marking “a new phase in the military modernization of Albania.”
