Keir Starmer, currently on a visit to the Middle East, said there is “still much work to do” to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for oil and gas shipping.

During his visit to Saudi Arabia, the UK Prime Minister described a “real sense” of relief following the ceasefire agreement reached the previous evening.

“It is still early,” Starmer noted, emphasizing that those at the military base he was visiting – as well as people in the United Kingdom – will want this relief “to be lasting.”
