British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has affirmed that the United Kingdom will not submit to U.S. President Donald Trump and will continue opposing any attempt by the United States to acquire Greenland.

While Starmer has sought to maintain close trade and security ties with Trump, he emphasized that the future of Greenland must be decided by its people and Denmark, and that he will not be intimidated by U.S. threats or tariffs.

“I will not yield. The United Kingdom will not yield to principles and values under the threat of tariffs, and this is my clear stance,” Starmer told lawmakers. He also noted that the Danish Prime Minister is scheduled to visit London on Thursday.
