As Kosovo holds its parliamentary elections, the State Prosecutor’s Office has taken comprehensive measures to protect the integrity of the vote, reports Ekonomia Online.
Election Oversight Measures
Around 100 prosecutors and a sufficient number of prosecutorial staff are on duty across the country, ensuring that any electoral irregularities are promptly addressed.
Prosecutors will remain on duty until the completion of the election process to handle any reported violations.
Deployment of Prosecutors
Prosecutors will be stationed at Basic Prosecution Offices in cities where such institutions exist.
In municipalities without a prosecution office, prosecutors will be stationed at police stations, working closely with Kosovo Police investigators to prevent and prosecute election-related offenses.
National Coordination
Laura Pula, the National Coordinator for Elections, is overseeing the entire operation, ensuring regional coordinators, prosecutors, and the designated election prosecutor at the Central Election Commission (CEC) fulfill their duties effectively.
Call for Public Cooperation
The State Prosecutor urges citizens, political entities, institutions, and organizations to report any suspected vote fraud, manipulation, or misconduct. Reports can be filed directly with the respective prosecution offices.
