As part of the celebrations marking the Liberation Day of Drenas, the statue of one of the most glorious figures of the struggle for freedom – National Hero Asllan Fazliu, known as Commander “Luani” (The Lion) – was officially unveiled today, reports Rks News.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of the Mayor of Drenas, Ramiz Lladrovci, at the “Fehmi and Xhevë Lladrovci” square. It was attended by representatives of fallen soldiers’ families, citizens, institutional representatives, and veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
His statue was placed in the central square of Drenas, alongside other monuments of national figures, serving as a lasting symbol for future generations and a tribute to those who gave everything for Kosovo’s freedom.
