The Coalition of Organizations for the Protection of Children (KOMF) has raised concerns about the involvement of children in electoral activities by some political parties.

Reports from the field indicate that children are being used for promotional purposes during the election campaign, which constitutes a violation of their rights.

KOMF’s Appeal

KOMF calls on political parties to:

  1. Immediately cease the exploitation of children in campaign activities, highlighting that this practice is harmful and not in the best interest of the children.
  2. Urge the Central Election Commission (KQZ) and media outlets to monitor and report such violations while ensuring the protection of children’s identities.

Message to Parents

KOMF also urges parents to:

  • Avoid politicizing their children.
  • Refrain from involving them in campaign activities.
  • Not take children to events organized by political parties.

“Children’s rights should be respected and protected at all times,” KOMF emphasized in its media statement.
