Strong Earthquake Strikes Turkey, Magnitude Reported

A 4.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded on Monday evening in the city of Malatya, Turkey.

According to Anadolu, the tremor occurred at 8:20 PM, with its epicenter located in the Doğanşehir region of Malatya. AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority) reported that the earthquake hit at a depth of 9.75 kilometers.

Sedar Yavuz, the governor of Malatya, reassured the public through his social media account, stating, “There is no danger from the 4.6 magnitude earthquake centered in Doğanşehir. May God protect our nation from all disasters.”
