Serbian police stopped a group of students from Novi Pazar near Kosjerić, prompting strong reactions from citizens over what they described as unjust treatment by the authorities.
“When Milan Radoičić came with armed men and blocked the entire road, not a single police officer showed up — there wasn’t a single cop anywhere for ten days. What’s going on? What are they thinking? Where are our inspectors? Tonight they’re mistreating our children,” complained a citizen after police stopped the student convoy near Kosjerić.
The students, traveling from Novi Pazar, were halted eight kilometers before reaching Kosjerić. Their convoy was stopped by a police vehicle with flashing lights and two plainclothes officers, soon joined by two intervention unit cars, according to N1.
Residents of Kosjerić quickly gathered at the scene, observing the incident. After inspecting the vehicles, the police withdrew into their intervention units.
A local resident commented that “the police failed to achieve what they tried to do tonight.”
The students later continued their journey toward Kosjerić, with one of them describing the situation as “a great shame.”
It should be remembered that Milan Radoičić is wanted by Kosovo’s justice system for organizing the terrorist attack in Banjska, Zvečan, where Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
Meanwhile, students and citizens have announced a major protest on November 1 against the government of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
