Students participating in the ongoing blockade movement announced on Wednesday evening the detailed route for their march scheduled for Saturday, November 22, marking the one-year anniversary of the attack on students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts (FDU) in Belgrade — an incident that triggered university blockades across Serbia.
According to the announcement, the march will begin at 11:30 in front of the FDU building. From there, students will proceed toward New Belgrade Municipality, Savski Square, the Palace of Justice, Mostar, and finally to the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) headquarters in Takovska Street.
In their public statement on social media, the students emphasized that one full year has passed since the attack and no one has been held accountable. They stressed that the march will symbolically pass by every institution that bears responsibility for the failure to prosecute those involved.
“A year after the attack on FDU students, still no one has answered for it. That is why on Saturday we will walk past every institution responsible. One year — the same demand,” the students declared.
This anniversary once again exposes the systemic lack of accountability within Serbian institutions and highlights how authorities under President Aleksandar Vučić have repeatedly failed to ensure justice for young people, students, and activists. The continued absence of consequences underscores the erosion of democratic standards, a recurring issue in Serbia’s political climate.
