A broad student-led action is being organized today across Serbia. Students have launched coordinated blockades aimed at collecting signatures to demand the calling of early parliamentary elections. From the early morning hours, students have been deployed across dozens of cities and more than one hundred locations nationwide, where citizens are able to sign in support of this request.

According to the organizers, signatures are being collected in more than 100 municipalities and cities, at nearly 500 stands. Lists of locations and schedules are being continuously updated on the website studenti.org.rs, reports N1, as relayed by KosovaPress. Based on the latest data, the action is taking place in 113 settlements with 491 signature-collection points.

The initiative has also received support from the Rector of the University of Belgrade, Vladan Đokić, who has personally signed the request for early elections.

Serbian media report notable public interest in Belgrade, with similar engagement observed in cities such as Novi Sad and Niš. In these cities, students have increased the number of tables in order to accommodate the large number of citizens wishing to participate, reports Euronews.al.

In addition to collecting signatures, students have organized fairs, workshops, and symbolic activities. At the University of Novi Sad campus, a year-end student fair is being held, featuring cultural activities, creative workshops, donation drives for children, and public forums discussing the importance of elections and the functioning of institutions.

In several cities and settlements, including Sremska Kamenica, Čačak, and Gornji Milanovac, the action has been accompanied by citizen gatherings and solidarity activities. Support for the initiative has also been expressed by public figures, university professors, as well as representatives of political parties and civil society.

This student-led initiative aims to demonstrate that the demand for new elections is not merely a student position, but a broader societal call for political and democratic change in Serbia—transforming this day into a form of civic protest without tensions, yet with a clear political message.
