Nearly half of Americans do not agree with the policies followed by Donald Trump.
According to surveys published on Wednesday, Trump’s approval stands just above 40%.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that 44% of Americans disapprove of Trump.
Meanwhile, a Gallup poll revealed that while 45% approve of him, 51% do not.
In a Quinnipiac University poll, 45% of voters approve of him, while 49% do not.
All three polls, conducted in early and mid-February, show that approval for President Trump’s policies has changed slightly since the surveys at the end of January but reflect an increase in the percentage of those who disapprove. Gallup shows a 3-point increase, Reuters/Ipsos a 5-point increase, and Quinnipiac a 6-point increase.
As Gallup points out, Trump’s approval rating is 15 points below the historical average for all other elected presidents in mid-February since 1953, but it is five points higher than it was in the same month of his first term.
For immigration and foreign affairs, Trump has received approval ratings of 46% and 44%, respectively. His approval rating for the economy is lower at 42%, and only 40% approve of his handling of the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East.
