A dangerous situation was recorded today in Rahovec, where a suspected explosive device was discovered during construction works involving heavy machinery, Gazeta Sinjali has learned exclusively.
The incident occurred this morning at around 11:00 a.m. on “Bekim Isma” Street, where the witness and complainant, H. Sh., informed the Police that while operating an excavator he came across a suspicious object, suspected to be an unexploded hand grenade.
According to sources, as soon as the witness noticed the suspected device, he immediately stopped all construction activities and notified the Police.
A police patrol arrived at the scene and secured the perimeter in order to prevent any potential risk to citizens.
Relevant police units and specialized teams have been informed and are expected to arrive at the scene to handle and remove the suspected explosive device.
The case is being treated by the competent authorities, while further developments are expected to be reported subsequently.
