The Central Election Commission (CEC) announced through a press release that the commission established to evaluate the ballots in South Mitrovica and Gjakova, where irregularities were reported, has officially begun its work.
According to the CEC, the commission is expected to prepare and submit its report by November 14.
“Meanwhile, for other municipalities, the evaluation will be carried out based on a selected sample, and the final report will be completed by the end of the week,” the statement reads.
The CEC further explained that the work of this commission also serves to provide a response to the Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) regarding a complaint submitted concerning the second round of mayoral elections in South Mitrovica, as well as to clarify the overall situation that has arisen.
