The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, visited Banjska today, one day before the anniversary of the terrorist attack in which police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed.

Sveçla stated to the media that he believes, according to the law, the individuals involved in the Banjska attack can be tried in absentia.

“According to the existing law, there are always possibilities for someone to be tried in absentia, and depending on the Court’s decision, the case will proceed accordingly,” he said.

“The situation is calm and stable, and we will continue to work even harder so that Kosovo moves forward despite the challenges it faces,” emphasized the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A few weeks ago, Kosovo’s Special Prosecution filed charges against the Serbian terrorist group led by Milan Radoičić.

The total number of those indicted is 45.
