Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, met with the British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, to discuss cooperation on combating organized crime.
Also present at the meeting was Tony Buswell, Head of Southern Europe at the UK’s International Border Policy Directorate.
According to Sveçla, the discussion focused on strengthening the fight against organized crime, government priorities, and tackling illegal migration.
“In this regard, the United Kingdom has continuously supported our institutions, contributing to increased efficiency in preventing and combating criminal activities.
We agreed that this cooperation will be further intensified, as part of our shared vision for security and the rule of law,” Sveçla stated.
The meeting reaffirmed the close partnership between Kosovo and the United Kingdom in security matters and border management.
