The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, received at the meeting, the Secretary of the Federal Ministry of the Interior of Germany, Bernd Krosser, who was accompanied by the German ambassador, Jorn Rohde.
“The Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. Xelal Sveçla, received today in a meeting the Secretary of the Federal Interior Ministry of Germany, Mr. Bernd Krosser, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of Germany in Kosovo, Mr. Jorn Rohde and his team. Minister Sveçla welcomed Secretary Krosser to the Ministry of the Interior and on this occasion expressed his gratitude for Germany’s continuous support for the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.”
“Before the delegation, Minister Sveçla presented the achievements in the field of security, especially in the fight against organized crime, smuggling, irregular migration and any other illegality. He emphasized that these achievements are also thanks to the support of our partners who have contributed to the establishment and strengthening of security institutions.”
Sweden also discussed general security, especially in the north.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs says that Sveçla has expressed “concern about the non-handover to justice of the terrorists who carried out the terrorist attack in Banjska and the shelter that Serbia is giving them, as a constant threat to the security of the Republic of Kosovo”.
“Secretary Krosser thanked the Minister for the reception and congratulated him on the achievements. He also discussed the Berlin Process, where the Republic of Kosovo remains an active party to this process. The next Ministerial of Interior Ministers within the framework of the Berlin Process was also discussed. Both sides agreed on further cooperation, as a guarantee of security in the region and beyond.”
