The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, stated that Serbia is held responsible by Kosovo for the terrorist attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal.
“The continuous attacks by criminal terrorist groups, such as the recent grenade attacks in Zveçan and now the latest terrorist attack on critical infrastructure, are directed by Serbia, and we hold official Belgrade accountable for this,” he said during an extraordinary press conference.
Sveçla described the explosion in Zubin Potok as the most severe post-war act.
“This terrorist attack is not just an ordinary attack but one that is well-organized and carefully planned by groups or organizations highly skilled in carrying out such terrorist actions, which cause significant damage to critical infrastructure. Their aim was to maximize harm to Kosovo and its citizens,” Sveçla added.
He revealed that eight individuals suspected of involvement in criminal and terrorist activities have been arrested and taken into custody.
An arsenal of weapons, explosives, and uniforms was also confiscated.
“The Government of Kosovo and its institutions will not stop until all these criminals and terrorists are arrested and brought to justice, under the fair and just law of the Republic of Kosovo,” Sveçla concluded.
