Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, stated that the arsenal continually discovered in municipalities in the northern part of Kosovo includes parts that were brought into the country earlier, and may also be leftovers from the aggression in Banjska.
“According to some assessments, part of the arsenal that is continuously being discovered is from earlier shipments, but there are definitely new arrivals as well. We share most of our border with Serbia, and part of this border is difficult to control.”
“The fact that the Kosovo Police is successful in discovering these cases and then prosecuting them demonstrates that we are having a successful fight against this goal. The more weapons and equipment—uniforms in this case—are brought in, the more we may face organized resistance, as we had in the Banjska incident,” Sveçla said in a media conference.
