The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, reacted after an attempt was made to set fire to a sweet shop in North Mitrovica.
He said that “the unstoppable fight against the criminal groups of Serbia and the neutralization of their influence on the masses has managed to create normality of life”.
Svečla said that this “impedes some criminal remnants of Serbia in the north”.
“Our unstoppable fight against the criminal groups of Serbia and the neutralization of their influence on the masses has succeeded in creating normality of life, in which case many of our citizens there have begun to create opportunities for their development. This fact seems to hinder some criminal remnants of Serbia in the north, in which case this morning I was informed that the pastry shop “Sharr” in North Mitrovica was attacked with a Molotov cocktail.”
Minister Sveçla condemned the attack and demanded that the perpetrators be identified and brought to justice.
“I strongly condemn this attack and ask the relevant bodies to identify the perpetrators of this criminal act as quickly as possible and bring them to justice. Such attacks will not repel us at all and I am convinced that they will not scare or stop our citizens either. Law and order will triumph over terror at all costs.”
