Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has revealed that Serbia is systematically attempting to destabilize the internal affairs of the Republic of Kosovo by recruiting Kosovo citizens into its security and intelligence structures.

In a public statement, Sveçla said such actions violate the laws of the Republic of Kosovo and pose a serious threat to national security. He emphasized that Serbia has recruited Kosovo citizens into its police structures, using them as instruments to undermine Kosovo’s constitutional order.

“Today, based on the current legislation on citizenship and the recommendations of relevant institutions, I have made the decision to revoke the citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo for Nikola Vujović, due to national security concerns as a member of Serbia’s police forces,” Sveçla declared.

The minister underscored that Kosovo’s institutions will not tolerate any attempt to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.

“Every citizen of the Republic of Kosovo must be clear: any form of threat to national security will not and cannot be tolerated. Kosovo belongs to all its citizens, but no one will be allowed to serve as an instrument of foreign interests that harm our state,” Sveçla concluded, affirming that the institutions remain committed to maintaining law, order, and security throughout Kosovo’s territory.
