Football star Xherdan Shaqiri, along with goalkeeper Yann Sommer and Fabian Schär, was honored by the Swiss Football Federation in St. Gallen before the match between Switzerland and Denmark.

Shaqiri, Sommer, and Schär retired from the Swiss national team after the Euro 2024 tournament.

Shaqiri had an impressive career with the national team, being the only player to score in six major tournaments: three World Cups and three European Championships.

He played 125 matches for Switzerland and scored 32 goals, each one more memorable than the last. Sommer has played 94 matches, while Schär has appeared in 86 matches.
