Abelard Tahiri, MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), has called on the Vetëvendosje Movement (VV) to show flexibility regarding the nomination of the Assembly Speaker, urging them to respond positively to PDK’s request for changing their current candidate.
“I hope they reflect and respond to PDK’s request—specifically, to bring forward a candidate for a vote who is acceptable to everyone so we can pave the way for voting on the new government,” said Tahiri.
His statement underscores the stalemate that has gripped Kosovo’s political scene, where the inability to elect a Speaker has stalled the formation of the next government.
