Ismail Tasholli from the platform “Liria ka Emër” spoke during the citizens’ march “Justice, Not Politics,” emphasizing that regardless of the ongoing trials, the UÇK’s fight was a liberation war, and this can never be undone.
He said that citizens demand justice, not politics, and on the 18th anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence, a clear message is being sent to the former UÇK leaders: “You are not alone. Behind you stands an entire nation, behind you stands our history, our sacrifice, our freedom”, referring to Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi.
Tasholli’s message highlights the unity of the people of Kosovo and the public support for the former UÇK fighters facing trial at The Hague.
