The temporary measure imposed by the Constitutional Court of Kosovo on September 5, which suspended all actions and decisions of Members of Parliament – including procedures for forming a new government – expires today.

The Court had ruled that halting parliamentary decisions was necessary to prevent potential risks or irreparable damage related to the establishment of state institutions and the adoption of decisions that might contradict the Constitution.

The decision also emphasized that the suspension was in the public interest, particularly for the preservation of Kosovo’s constitutional order.

This measure followed a complaint filed by the Serb List (Lista Srpska), which contested the legality of the constitutive session of the Assembly.
