The President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has recalled the history of Kosovo’s membership in the International Olympic Committee, which happened today – ten years ago, on his last day as Minister.
“Today, ten years ago, on my last day as Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, I fulfilled a dream that had guided me throughout my mission in this role: Kosovo’s membership in the Olympic Committee as a full member of the International Olympic Committee. This moment will forever remain one of the most special achievements and beloved successes in my life,” Krasniqi wrote, alongside a post on Facebook.
“Certainly, this great goal would not have been possible without the support of my dedicated friends in sports: Besim Hasani, Driton Kukaj, Majlinda Kelmendi, and all the sports workers and journalists, who contributed with unparalleled dedication to make this historic day possible,” he said.
