The 42nd opposition protest outside the Municipality of Tirana began with tensions.
The cause of the unrest was the failure of the police to block the road in front of the municipality as had happened in previous protests. This time, it was the citizens who blocked the passage of vehicles.
According to reports, supporters of the Democratic Party (DP) began gathering shortly after 11:00 AM, blocking vehicle traffic.
Dozens of vehicles remain blocked in front of the municipality, while the police are not intervening but are only making announcements through a megaphone calling for the road to be cleared.
A similar situation occurred last week.
