Renowned journalist and host of the “Rubikon” show, Adriatik Kelmendi, has revealed intriguing details from his exclusive interview with former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, which is set to air soon on Klan Kosova.

Speaking on the “Kosova Today” program, Kelmendi emphasized the uniqueness of this upcoming interview, highlighting Thaçi’s openness and sincere approach.

“The same stoicism as always—his unwavering stance in the face of every challenge. He remained firm during the war, took part in the key negotiations for Kosovo’s freedom, faced political attacks, and never broke. I saw the same man this time too. He said: ‘No one will defeat me in my mental strength, and of course, only the one who gave me life can take it away.’ There’s a deep inner strength in him, which I believe inspires others not to experience his situation with sorrowful emotions. He is optimistic that everything will turn out right,” Kelmendi noted.

One of the most anticipated parts of the interview touches on Thaçi’s relationship with the United States. According to Kelmendi, Thaçi responded clearly when asked whether he holds any resentment toward the U.S.

“He didn’t hesitate to speak openly. I asked him directly: ‘Do you have any resentment toward the U.S.?’ And he said ‘no’—we’ll see exactly how he expresses that. It becomes clear that when he supported the Special Court, he was thinking about Kosovo’s future—not his personal fate,” the journalist explained.

The full interview promises to shed light on key moments in Thaçi’s political life and current reflections as he awaits judgment from the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
