The Assembly of Kosovo will convene its 47th constitutive session tomorrow, July 15 at 11:00, following the failure of the 46th continuation to achieve the required steps for full institutional formation.

The session stalled again after the proposal to establish the commission responsible for organizing the secret ballot vote for Assembly Speaker did not receive sufficient support.

Despite 43 MPs voting in favor, the lack of formal opposition or abstentions meant the proposal failed to meet the procedural requirements, forcing the suspension of the session.

Avni Dehari, the oldest MP and acting chair of the session, announced that the next attempt to constitute the Assembly will take place tomorrow.

This development comes amid a clear ruling from the Constitutional Court, which obliges the Assembly to be fully constituted within 30 days of the first constitutive meeting.

Following the failure of the 46th session, former opposition parties remained in the chamber, urging Vetëvendosje to reflect and calling for a consensual solution to be found as soon as possible.
