Members of the Serbian Armed Forces paraded recently through the predominantly Bosniak northwestern city of Prijedor, seemingly without prior approval from the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, reported the Radio and Television of the Republika Srpska (RTRS), the Bosnian Serb entity.
Zheljko Komšić, an official from the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), reacted on Facebook stating, “It must be immediately learned who allowed the Serbian army to enter the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
“The Presidency of BiH did not authorize this. Did the Ministry of Defense authorize it? This must be immediately clarified. If it was not the Ministry of Defense either, then it is a classic act of aggression,” said Komšić, who is responsible for foreign policy and security.
However, is it also an alarm bell for Kosovo, which feels constantly threatened by Serbia?
Regarding this issue, Professor Enver Bytyçi spoke in a statement to “Bota Sot.”
He says that this act by Serbia is a violation of the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, continuing the professor also mentioned Vučić’s statement.
“The Armed Forces of the Republic of Serbia paraded last Sunday in a state ceremony in Republika Srpska in the city of Prijedor in northern Bosnia. Everyone knows that sending these Serbian military forces to Bosnia-Herzegovina involves two parties. In this specific case, one party is Serbia, which prepared them for this ceremony and sent them there. The other party is the receiving one. The recipients of this Serbian military contingent are the leaders of Republika Srpska, including the separatist leader, Milorad Dodik. A member of the Bosniak Presidency, Komšić, says he was not aware of this Serbian military incursion into Republika Srpska. Certainly, the Ministry of Defense of BiH did not authorize the entry of these military forces into its territory.
It remains to be judged whether Serbia’s military incursion into Republika Srpska is an act violating the sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Especially when the head of state and commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, admitted to being aware of this. Meaning that he ordered the dispatch of these forces to a neighboring state. Vučić even proudly stated, “We send these forces on this day to Prijedor in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the past eight years!” And we note that in these eight years the president of Serbia has been Vučić. Which means that his predecessors have not dared to commit such acts,” he expressed.
Komšić should address all Western chancelleries
According to the international professor, the internationals should be alarmed about Serbia’s actions.
“Vučić is trying to pass it off as an ordinary and usual event,” the professor further emphasizes.
“As long as the general commander of Serbian defense admits this, then the bill must be sought from him. Komšić should also address all Western chancelleries. Moreover, this act should encourage him to demand NATO membership for BiH at all costs, whether Milorad Dodik likes it or not. Europe and the USA should be alarmed, as sending a military contingent to a neighboring state without permission and coordination is an act of aggression, a violation of international law respecting the sovereignty of states. Today these soldiers leave peacefully. Tomorrow, in a troubled and conflictual situation, they are ready to intervene in support of Dodik’s and Vučić’s ambitions to divide Republika Srpska from the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The act is very serious. Vučić is trying to pass it off as an ordinary and usual event. But the president of Serbia has graduated from the devil’s school named Milošević. He throws the stone and then says “No! No! I am for peace!” But he provokes like the devil. He even organizes terrorist acts against his own neighbors, as in the case of Banja. And then he says, “No! My opponents did this to me, who are connected to the Kremlin!” There is no one more cunning and cunning than the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. Only his twin brother in Tirana can approach him somewhat,” he explains.

Bytyçi in the above conversation says that the internationals are accepting these actions of Serbia and do not take action.
Continuing, the professor adds that the internationals do not want to understand that sending Serbian military units to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a clear act of aggression, but without victims and without war.
Serbia is proving more and more every day that it is and remains, as always, the cause of instability and conflicts in the Western Balkans and if it succeeds in this, it would also become so for the Eastern Balkans. What happened with the participation of Serbian military troops in a demonstration in Prijedor is very meaningful. First and foremost, it is evident that Belgrade and Banja Luka are working together on their plans to destroy the state of DAYTON, Bosnia and Herzegovina. What the criminal Milošević accepted, his successor Aleksandar Vučić does not accept today. What the other war criminal, Karadžić, accepted at that time, his successor, Dodik, denies today!
We have returned to the time of DAYTON and Europeans and Americans do not want to understand this. They do not want to understand that sending Serbian military units to the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a clear act of aggression, but without victims and without war, because this act of aggression has been accepted by local Serbian leaders,” he said.
In conclusion, the professor emphasizes that Serbia dares not take such actions in Kosovo since there is KFOR and NATO.
Vučić dares not militarily attack
“Vučić wants to create Greater Serbia with provocations, but dares not militarily attack,” said Bytyçi.
“There are those who interpret this act as a threat to Kosovo. I do not believe that Serbia and its president dare to do this in Kosovo. Not only is there KFOR, hence NATO there. But also because Kosovo’s territory is already controlled by its institutions and security forces. Vučić wants to create Greater Serbia with provocations, isolated acts of terror, military incursions in the name of ‘cooperation’ with Republika Srpska. But dares not militarily attack.
Meanwhile, the dispatch of this unit to Republika Srpska should also be seen as a prelude to the July 11th manifestation, when in Srebrenica the day of Serbian genocide against Bosniak Muslims is commemorated. There are many schemes within this dangerous game of Belgrade. However, we must be vigilant and never believe that Serbia is or can be a normal state. I assure you that it will not be a normal state in its relations with Kosovo and BiH, even if Serbia becomes a member of the EU and NATO one day,” concluded Bytyçi for “Bota Sot”.
