Trim Syla, also known as “The Brave with the Banner” and head of the Democratic Youth of Kosovo in Prishtina, carried out a personal symbolic protest today in front of the EULEX building in Fushë Kosovë, which previously served as the address of the Specialist Chambers.
During this civic action, Syla held a banner in English with the message:
“If defending my home is a crime, then I am guilty too!”
Through this symbolic act, Trim Syla expressed his stance against what he considers injustice toward the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) veterans currently on trial in The Hague.
In his public post, Syla called on citizens to join the civic march for justice, “Justice, Not Politics,” scheduled for February 17 in Prishtina, organized by the movement Liria ka Emër, in defense of the KLA veterans in The Hague.
The march is expected to mark a broad civic mobilization on Kosovo’s Independence Day, sending the message that justice must be impartial and free from political influence.
