The Kosovo Security Forces have carried out a training by the American army with mortars at the Melle range in Albania.
In the published announcement, the FSK says that the theoretical part was carried out at the Command of Doctrine and Training in Ferizaj, while the practical part was carried out at the training ground in Melle of the Republic of Albania.
“Within the bilateral cooperation with our strategic partner, the United States of America, a mobile team from the Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) of the American army has carried out mortar training for KSF members, the theoretical part has been carried out in the Command of Doctrine and Training in Ferizaj and the practical part in the training ground in Melle of the Republic of Albania”.
The purpose of the training, according to the KSF, was to increase artillery capacities, advance the operation of weapon systems, increase tactical skills, increase accuracy in shooting targets, with the aim of professional development of KSF members.
