The Minister of Defense of Bosnia-Herzegovina proposes the introduction of military training in schools

The Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Minister of Defense of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Zukan Helez, visited the municipality of Kakanji today, where he honored and laid flowers in the Memorial Park of the City of Martyrs and Fallen.

During his visit to Kakanj, Helez expressed his satisfaction that he was welcomed by the association that came from the defense and liberation war of 1992-1995 and that he had the opportunity to pay tribute and place flowers in the City’s Memorial Park of the Fallen Martyrs and fallen in 1992-1995 and fallen fighters in 1941-1945.

Minister Helez discussed the current security and political situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the surrounding area with representatives of veterans’ associations. The associations accepted the minister’s proposal to direct the initiative to the Ministry of Education of Zenica-Doboj Canton to introduce military training in schools.

During the meeting with the director of the brown coal mine, Isa Delibashiq, they talked about the results of this business year, the problems faced by the management of the mine, as well as the measures and activities that are planned to be carried out to stabilize the business and contribute to preservation of the FBeH energy sector.

“In any defense, in any country of the world, one of the most important resources is energy. Kakanj, Zenica-Doboj canton, together with Tuzla and Tuzla cantons are the most important energy basins in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is very important to see how it works and what the problems are, what we need to help both from the state and federal level” – said Minister Helez.
