The mountains of Prevallë have been engulfed by a large fire that has yet to be extinguished.
The spokesperson for the Police in the Prizren region, Shaqir Bytyçi, stated that the Police are assisting firefighters and emergency services in their efforts to put out the fire.
He mentioned that several volunteers have also joined this effort.
“Regarding the fire in the mountains of Prevallë, which started in the early hours of the morning on 11.08.2024, the Commander of the Prizren Police Station had a meeting with the Director of Emergencies of the Municipality of Prizren and other officials, and together they coordinated actions to extinguish the fire.
The Police have been assisting the firefighters and emergency services. Along with the firefighters, some volunteers have also gone to help extinguish the fire in Prevallë,” Bytyçi said.
