A quarter of a century ago, in the yard of a house in Beleg, Deçan, police, military, and paramilitary forces of the genocidal Serbian regime separated the men and minors from the women and then executed and massacred 46 Albanians.
This was one of the largest massacres committed by Serbian paramilitary forces, who in 1999 launched a brutal offensive against the civilian population.
This is what President Vjosa Osmani stated, commemorating the 26th anniversary of this massacre.
The Presidency says that even today, after all these years, the fate of some of the people forcibly disappeared remains unknown, and thus the wounds remain open for the families and for all of Kosovo.
“Justice remains a debt to them and to our history,” said President Osmani.
