The Remains of Two War Victims Reburied, Were on the List of Missing Persons

The Government Commission for Missing Persons announced today that the remains of two victims of the recent war, Feriz Mrasori and Ilmi Aliu, have been reburied.

“After being found and exhumed in 2023, and identified through scientific DNA analysis, and in accordance with the families’ requests, the remains of the two war victims, Feriz Mrasori and Ilmi Aliu, have been reburied,” stated the Commission in an announcement.

The Commission further stated that on December 18, 2024, in Pastasel, the remains of Feriz Mrasori were reburied. Today, on December 20, 2024, the remains of Ilmi Aliu were reburied in the cemetery of the village of Strofc.

Tomorrow, on December 21, 2024, the remains of Sylejman Dema will be reburied in Rahovec.

“All three victims of the war were on the List of Missing Persons. The Government Commission for Missing Persons remains committed to clarifying the fate and whereabouts of all missing persons, in order to respect the right of families to know the fate and location of their loved ones who were abducted and disappeared forcibly.”
