The Specialized Prosecutor’s Office has announced that Jakup Krasniqi’s collar with an eagle, which was banned from him the day before in the courtroom, has been returned.
The ZPK has said that the arrest was made to him “for clarification”, while emphasizing that it has been established that the same does not constitute a violation of the detention rules.
“Before yesterday’s session, ZPS Security asked Mr. Krasniqi to remove his tie, seeking clarification from the head of detention whether detention rules prohibiting certain clothing would apply in this case. The collar was returned to Mr. Krasniqi and the head of the detention center have confirmed that her transportation is allowed”, said the ZPS.
Yesterday, Jakup Krasniqi was not allowed to enter the courtroom of the Specialized Chambers at the Special Court in The Hague dressed as he had planned.
The security forced him to remove the collar, as Venkateswari Alagendra, Krasniqi’s lawyer, announced at the beginning of the hearing.
“Mr. Krasniqi had a collar this morning and they took it off, can we know why they took it off?”, Alagendra asked, as chief judge Charles Smith answered that he “doesn’t know” and that he will be interested in this case.
