The Member of the Assembly of Kosovo, Driton Hyseni, in a statement to Telegrafin, confirmed that the issue of advancing the status of Kosovo will be on the agenda on Monday, May 27, at the spring session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the proceedings of which session they started today and will continue until Monday.
Hyseni said that the Kosovo delegation arrived on Friday evening in Sofia, Bulgaria and will participate in the three-day work of the spring session of the Assembly.
“As a result of the decision of the permanent steering committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, voted on March 24 of this year, in favor of raising the status of the Kosovo delegation, I confirm that such an issue is on the agenda of the Assembly and the vote with the majority of deputies is expected in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly on May 27”, he said.
The deputy from the ranks of the LVV said that they expect a positive epilogue and full formalization of the new status of the delegation from Kosovo, as an associate member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Otherwise, in March, the head of the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Policy of Albania, Mimi Kodhelli, in a post on Facebook, told about the voting process in the Permanent Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Kodheli had announced that after a long discussion in the Bureau of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and especially with the support of American and British colleagues, they managed to vote in the Permanent Commission an early request of the Assembly of Kosovo, the advancement of the status.
