The statue of Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg will soon be placed in the French capital.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, who stated that today they received approval from the French authorities to place the monument of the National Hero in a square in Paris named after him.
“A persistent rumor is circulating in the social swamp regarding the cover-up of Skanderbeg’s monument in Tirana, with curses being cast about national betrayal, based on accusations of a conspiracy against the Athlete of Christ during the Glorious Month of Ramadan. The reason is very simple, yet beautiful in this case. The monument is covered in scaffolding because the molds are being taken for the creation of a copy of it, which will be placed in the ‘Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu’ square in Paris,” he wrote.
“Yes, you read it correctly. After a long and successful diplomatic effort, precisely because today Albania is heard with respect, we managed to get approval from the French authorities to place the monument of our National Hero in a square in Paris with his name. In a few days, the scaffolding will be removed, so even the patriotic hearts stirred up in the swamp of rumors will be able to enjoy the image of Skanderbeg’s horse, and they will have to find another betrayal to accuse.”
