The U.S. Department of State (DASH) has called for justice for Ylli, Agron, and Mehmet Bytyqi on the 25th anniversary of their murder.
DASH spokesperson Matthew Miller wrote on X network that the perpetrators of this brutal act continue to remain free.
“25 years ago, American citizens Ylli, Agron, and Mehmet Bytyqi were killed in the custody of the Serbian police. Today, the perpetrators of this brutal act still remain free. We again urge Serbia to conclude its investigation and bring those responsible for their deaths to justice,” wrote Miller.
The three brothers, who had left the U.S. to fight in Kosovo, were killed in the custody of the Serbian police in 1999.
