According to reports, the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, was shot and wounded with a firearm by an unknown person.
The incident took place in the town of Handlova, about 150 kilometers northeast of the capital Bratislava, according to TV news station TA3.
A suspect has been arrested for the case and that Fico is in the hospital for treatment.
According to the latest data from the Slovak media, it is said that Prime Minister Fico was shot in the stomach and arm and is in serious condition.
Sky News has already published the photos showing the prime minister being carried on a stretcher to the hospital, and according to the latest information it is said that Fico is in a very serious condition.
