The Organization of Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army (OVL-UÇK) commemorated the KLA martyrs who fell during the month of February in the last war in Kosovo.
Honoring them, OVL-UÇK stated: “They didn’t wait for spring, they became spring.”
In their remembrance, they said:
“When winter weighed heavily over the land of Kosovo and the spirit of freedom clashed with the storms of occupation, the finest sons of this country rose like light in the darkness.
They didn’t wait for spring, they became spring.
These are the martyrs who fell during our liberation war in the month of February – names that are not merely letters in history.”
Fallen martyrs of February:
Avdullah Nika, Maliq Karaqica, Qerim Jashari, Ali Paqarizi, Arben Saliuka, Driton Loku, Gafurr Loku, Besnik Restelica, Avdyl Pajaziti, Fatmir Sezairi, Gazmend Baliu, Muhamet Gashi, Beqir Rexhepi, Muhamet Gjeli, Naser Gjeli, Rexhep Rexhepi, Albesian Mataj, and Hetem Hasaj.
“We remember them, honor them, and keep their legacy alive in every step of our struggle for dignity, justice, and the preservation of the values of our liberation war.”
