Matchday 2 of the Champions League group stage delivered plenty of drama. Big wins by PSG, Napoli, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Newcastle United and Qarabağ have put them well on course toward qualification.
At the same time, three high-profile matches ended in draws: Monaco – Manchester City, Villarreal – Juventus, and Bayer Leverkusen – PSV. Those results have made the group standings tighter than ever.
After two rounds, seven teams remain unbeaten with six points: Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, PSG, Inter, Arsenal, Qarabağ, and Borussia Dortmund.
On the opposite end, Benfica, Athletic Bilbao, Ajax, and Kairat Almaty are still searching for their first points, sitting at the bottom of their respective groups.
