Kosovo Confirms, Serbia Awaits
UK Envoy Karen Pierce said she expects to meet with representatives from Kosovo during the summit meetings. Pierce will also hold a phone call with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, as Serbia’s participation has not yet been confirmed. Earlier, the British envoy spoke with Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.
The Berlin Process
The Berlin Process is an initiative aimed at increasing regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and supporting these countries’ integration into the European Union. It was launched on August 28, 2014, by then-German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The yearly summits are intended to increase cooperation among the Western Balkan countries—Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and North Macedonia—and gradually bring them closer to the EU.
