A graffiti threatening the life of Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti has appeared in North Mitrovica, a Serb-majority town in northern Kosovo.

The Deputy Director of Kosovo Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, told Radio Free Europe (RFE) that the threatening message was written on a wall in Vasilija Ostroškog Street.

Investigation Underway

Following consultations with the acting prosecutor, an investigation has been opened into the case. Elshani confirmed that no suspects have been identified or arrested so far.

He added that the same message, accompanied by photographs of the graffiti, had previously circulated on Telegram.

Graphic Imagery Shared Online

In a Telegram group named “Koridor,” images were shared showing graffiti with the slogan:
“From Kosovo dawn will rise, Albin Kurti will die.”

Another disturbing image showed the same slogan alongside a masked figure holding Kurti’s severed head in one hand and an axe in the other.

Kosovo Police have confirmed they are continuing their investigation into the incident.
