Ekaterina Trendafilova, the President of the Special Court, recently concluded a three-day visit to Kosovo. During her stay, she had a series of meetings with EU ambassadors and the British Ambassador.
Trendafilova also visited the Humanitarian Law Center and engaged in discussions with law students at the University of Pristina.
Key Meetings:
- Law students at the Faculty of Law, where she discussed the legal framework of the Specialized Chambers, as well as its mandate and operations.
- Humanitarian Law Center Documentation Center, providing insight into the experiences of victims and survivors of the war in Kosovo.
- EU representatives including the EU Special Representative, EULEX Head, and the Ambassador of the UK, as well as meetings with the UNMIK Head and Ombudsperson.
Trendafilova also appreciated the discussions with students, praising their outstanding legal knowledge. She found the exhibition at the Humanitarian Law Center particularly moving, as it documents the voices and experiences of victims and survivors of the Kosovo war.
