Three people have been killed and dozens more injured following one of Russia’s largest attacks during the war overnight, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported.

In a statement, the Ukrainian leader said that Moscow launched “40 cruise and ballistic missiles and around 580 drones of various types” during the night.

“Every such attack is not a military necessity but a deliberate Russian strategy to terrorize civilians and destroy our infrastructure,” Zelenskyy said, calling for a strong international response.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, one person was killed and at least 26 others were injured after a “direct strike” on a high-rise building. Serhiy Lysak, the governor of the region, stated: “Last night’s attack was another test for our air defense.”

“A 55-year-old man is in critical condition, with burns covering 70% of his body. Doctors are fighting to save his life,” Lysak added.
