Three of the defendants in the Banjska case—Blagoje Spasojević, Vladimir Tolić, and Dušan Maksimović—were brought to court from detention under heightened security by the Kosovo Police, reports Rks News.

While the overall case includes 45 individuals indicted for the September 24, 2023 terrorist attack in Banjska, Zvečan, the proceedings are currently separated for Spasojević, Tolić, and Maksimović, as the remaining suspects are fugitives.

On September 11, 2024, the Special Prosecution of Kosovo filed an indictment against former Serbian List vice-president Milan Radoičić and 44 others. The indictment accuses them of orchestrating a violent, heavily armed attack with the intent to detach the northern part of Kosovo’s territory and annex it to the Republic of Serbia.

The assault resulted in the death of Kosovo police officer Afrim Bunjaku and posed serious risks to other officers and the civilian population.

International arrest warrants have been issued for Radoičić and 40 other individuals still at large.
